- NY Regents Language Arts Passages - Click on the "Book 1" links for the various years. In each PDF there are several reading passages with comprehension questions. These were language arts tests, but I like these because there is a variety of passages which include fiction and non-fiction and my kids always found these interesting. You can come up with supplemental activities of your own (such as further researching a topic in passage, making a related writing assignment, picking out grammar concept you are learning, etc) to make these the core of your homeschool literature curriculum which is what I have been doing for years. These are also great when we are having lazy days/weeks so at least we can read something and feel like the day is not a waste.
